For Godmothers Bookstore in Summerland, a bespoke system of brass plaques was created to mark each section of the store. Rather than permanently fixing the signs to the shelves, a hidden magnetic mounting solution was engineered—each plaque precision-machined from solid brass, etched and patinaed for depth, then polished to reveal crisp lettering. A pocketed back concealed magnets that locked into discreet metal plates within the shelving, achieving a seamless mounted appearance with complete flexibility.

Beyond the plaques themselves, a custom presentation box was produced with the bookstore’s logo engraved on the lid and foam inserts cut to cradle each piece. Though not requested, this level of finish elevated the system into a complete branded experience.

The result combines function and refinement—an understated example of how thoughtful engineering and craftsmanship can transform even the smallest details into moments of luxury.
